Depending on when you’re planning to visit the north coast, your trip may coincide with one (or many) of our annual events.

For your convenience, we’ve listed some of the major ones below.


North West 200: The International North West 200 is Ireland’s largest outdoor sporting event, attracting crowds in excess of 150,000. We’re only 12 miles from the heart of the circuit, so if you’re planning to attend, we encourage you to book your accommodation asap.

RNLI Raft Race: Every year in Portrush, enthusiastic crews in eccentric costumes take part in this charity fun race for homemade rafts in Portrush Harbour.


Ballymoney Agricultural Show: Ballymoney Show provides fun for all by promoting the best in rural Ulster, from prime livestock to top class equestrian classes.


Glenarm Highland Games: Ten athletes come from as far as New Zealand to compete in the World Highland Games International Challenge. The event includes competitions of strength and endurance, as well as sheep shearers, dancers and pipers.

NI Milk Cup: Now one biggest annual youth football tournaments in the world, held here in the north coast. The event, held in the last week of July, has attracted teams from almost 60 countries around the world including Europe, the USA, Africa, the Far East, South America, the Middle East, Australia, Russia, New Zealand and Canada.
